Who we are?
‘Healing Saathi’ is a registered trust, wholly and exclusively running a shelter home for sick, injured and special needs animals in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, founded on belief that all animals have the right to live a dignified life. The greatest strength of the trust spring from its vision to help, heal and provide shelter to the animals in needs.
How We Started?
Founder trustee Ms. Mugdha Khatri’s individual pursuit to care for innocent animals and compassion towards their sufferings led her to start her journey of rescuing animals since the tender age of 17. When the pandemic hit the country, her passion and love towards animals pushed her to support and feed more than 150 stray animals on a day basis. It was then that she decided to drop her career as an air hostess to dedicate 100% to the animals she already had and further intended to rescue and continued her work as a volunteer With the help of her family members and donors, she managed to rent a place, have basic construction undertaken in own capacity and organize rescues while providing a limited number of animals, proper shelter, food and care. It was then that she laid foundations of the trust and is now carrying on the empathetic task of rescue of animals under the name of the trust.
